Qualification for Full Tilt Poker The Onyx Cup Kicks off March 15th

Full Tilt Poker announced today they are launching a brand new poker tournament series of events which will test the super players in a way no other has done before.

Ever wondered what would happen if the super elite were able to play only each other? Well now we will find out in a series of high stakes tournaments that will pit the great against the great!

The Onyx Cup Series will feature the biggest buyins in the history of tournament poker from $100,000 to $300,000 with an estimated prize pool of $30,000,000 across the series.

The series is open to all comers and will consist of 6 no limit holden tournaments, 5 preliminary events have buy ins of $100K – $300K, and the finale will cost entrants a quarter of a million dollars and will have an added $1,000,000 to the prize pool.

The top three finishers will earn points towards the Onyx Cup leaderboard. At the end of the grand finale the player with the most points will be crowned the Champion, be presented with the Onyx cup, receive a luxury sportscar and will be acknowledged as the player who concurred poker elite!

The tournaments will take place in a number of locations in the US, Europe and Asia and will be broadcast in more than 20 languages and 40 countries. Qualification will take place exclusively at FullTiltpoker.net and will begin on March 15th!
