PokerStars have finally announced details of the UK & Ireland Championship of Online Poker which will look to decide who is the best online poker player in the region. Just before Christmas and over eight days and 11 events a guaranteed $512k will be awarded in prize money including the $520 Main Event which has a guaranteed prize of $150,000. The Regional Championships of Online Poker from PokerStars are a series of online poker championships specifically for players from certain regions who will be looking to compete and earn the title as the best player in their region. There are thirteen regional championships and each consist of the same eleven events with a big difference in the total prize pools on offer. In the US Championships of Online Poker there is a guaranteed $3.275m but the Mediterranean only has $80k up for grabs!
The UK & Ireland Championships start on December 5th with a very affordable $55 NL Rebuy 6-max event which has a guarantee of $40k. There are satellites available for all of these events and you can qualify for little more than pocket change or alternatively buy in as below:
