FSG Announce New Poker League Dates

The newly inaugurated Federated Sports and Gaming League have announced dates for the first season of this PGA Tour of poker. Live poker players will be ranked based on a number of criteria that have yet to be worked out but will no doubt include WSOP performances as well as recent form in live poker tournaments. Online poker players and rakeback poker players will need to play more live events if they want to qualify as online performances will have no bearing on the rankings.

At the launch of the tour former UB pro Annie Duke stated:

“Because the Main Events have four or more days to play down to a winner from a start of approximately 200 players, we believe it will offer the best, most friendly structures for the skilled player out there.”

“Great structures, no rake, and generous overlays are integral to our celebration of the best live tournament players in the world.”

All of the events will take place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and will be accompanied by a Pro-Am and charity tournament. The full schedule can be seen below:

• Charity Event: August 14
• Pro-Am Tournament: August 12 – 15
• Main Event:  August 16 – 19

Event #2

• Charity Event: October 2
• Pro-Am Tournament: September 30 – October 3
• Main Event:   October 4 – 7

Event #3

• Charity Event: December 4
• Pro-Am Tournament: December 1- 5
• Main Event: December 6 - 10

Event #4

• Charity Event: January 22
• Pro-Am Tournament: January 20 – 23
• Main Event: January 24 – 27
• Championship Event: January 29 – 30

If you want to play in the inaugural FSG League then you will need to stop playing online and play a lot more live poker tournaments. The other alternative is to become great friends with Annie Duke as she will no doubt be reserving a lot of spaces for her favourite poker players.
